Hi Sports Fans!

Our favourite non-league Football team, Bristol Athletic are up to 4th in the Bristol & Surburban Premier League Two after a one nil away win at Tytherington Rocks Reserves last Saturday. This afternoon they tackle 2nd in the table Brislington A at Failand. The Under 18′s tackle Hanham Athletic B at Blackhorse Road playing fields in Bristol Division North on Sunday.

Bristol City have a date with Championship leaders Southampton at Ashton Gate as former Bristol Rovers striker Rickie Lambert returns to Bristol. The last time he faced the Robins was at the Memorial stadium in the Johnsons Paint Trophy when the loveable scouser scored the goal that took the Gas to the Millenium stadium.

Bristol Rovers are at the seaside to play Southend Utd. The shrimpers top League Two with 41 points from 18 matches and ex-striker Matt Harold returns to Roots Hall. Scott McGleish is sidelined for up to four weeks with an ankle injury. The 37 year old has scored five times this season.

In Rugby Union, Bristol play on Sunday at London Scottish. Coach Liam Middleton makes two changes to the side that defeated Cornish Pirates, as they look for back-to-back victories. Ruki Tipuna makes his first start for the Club, while Josh Ovens returns to the back row in place of Dan Montagu. Fautua Otto and Junior Fatialofa make up the midfield and top-scorer Jack Tovey remains on the wing. Latest squad addition, Will Helu travels up to the capital but won’t play a part in the fixture. In the forwards, Iain Grieve reverts to Number 8 while Rhys Lawrence gets the nod at hooker over Jason Harris-Wright. Middleton names five forwards and two backs on the replacements bench. Marco Mama has recovered from food poisoning and is included in a 22-man squad.

The Bristol Rugby team to face London Scottish at the Richmond Athletic Ground on Sunday 27th of November (2pm) is;

Sean Marsden; Jack Tovey, Fautua Otto, Junior Fatialofa, Jon Goodridge; Tristan Roberts, Ruki Tipuna; Mark Irish, Rhys Lawrence, Jason Hobson, Mariano Sambucetti, Roy Winters, Josh Ovens, James Merriman, Iain Grieve (captain).

Enjoy your Sport!

Paul Davis.
