Welcome to the final show of 2011.
Both of our Professional football sides play their final matches of the year. In the Championship Bristol City won by a goal to nil against the league leaders, Southampton at St. Mary’s last night to complete a season double. Stephen Pearson’s 79th minute strike took away Saints unbeaten home record in 2011.
In League Two, Bristol Rovers have a home clash with Steve Davis’ Crewe Alexandra at the Memorial stadium (3pm).
In Rugby Union, Bristol won again away to Nottingham in the Championship at Meadow Lane last night to open up a massive 12 point lead over their rivals. It was close this time with Bristol running out winners by 35-24 (4 tries to 2).
