![]() THE BRISTOL HUM, presented by Lynette Quinlan, is a lively romp through the week’s cultural highlights with interviews, reviews, and all the latest news from stage to page, and wall to hall! On this week’s show : Rehearsals have started for the Old Vic’s Christmas show, CORAM BOY. Playing at the Colston Hall, it is an epic production, featuring many Bristolians, young and old. We find out more from Associate Director MIRANDA CROMWELL. Bristol-based novelist CHRISTOPHER WAKLING joins me to talk about his recent novels, The Devil’s Mask and What I Did – both published this year, but covering widely different genres, eras and subjects. He’ll be appearing at the beautiful new FOYLES Bookshop in Cabot Circus, along with fellow author Tobias Jones, on Tuesday 15 November 6:15pm (FREE!). Welsh National Opera are in town, with a mouth-watering trio of operas. Welsh baritone, DAVID KEMPSTER, sings the title role in a brand new production of DON GIOVANNI.
