Sadly after two albums and many years of constant road work the band fell apart. SPANISH PUNKS SCOOP ALBUM OF THE YEAR AWARD

The votes are in and counted, and it’s the closest Album of the Year final yet with less than 7 marks covering the 12 shortlisted contenders. However in the end Spanish punk outfit Los Criptozoos scooped the top prize with London indie rockers Van Susans as runners up.

The award for the album of the year from a local (Bristol area) act was won by Bristol super-group Lastwind, who inched past runners up, death rock legends Cauda Pavonis by the narrowest of margins to scoop the prize.

The Sunday Rock Show is back after a Christmas break and we are ready to kick off 2013 in fine style as we announce the 12 shortlisted albums for our ALBUM OF THE YEAR for 2012 and spin tracks by Cars On Fire, Cauda Pavonis, The Deltics, Demon Dudes Revenge, Dynamite Pussy Club, Glass Wing Pilot, Lastwind, Los Criptozoos, Nasty Little Lonely, Obsidian Kingdom, Spires and Van Susans

We have a doubleheader of tracks from the new album by Silencer, pay a short tribute to the late great Dave Brubeck and Led Zeppelin will be providing our Epic Of The Week.
