Disability Rights from yesterday to today
Over 60 people gathered at the Vassall Centre, Fishponds on 27 October 2011 to hear disability champion Sir Bert Massie CBE discuss the key issues for disabled people in this time of recession.
Many had come in memory of Sue McMullen, the feisty former chair of the Vassall Centre Trust, as this was the first annual lecture to be held in her name. All who knew her agreed she would have been perfectly in tune with the tone and content of the lecture, which was essentially a call to action for disabled people.
